It is no secret we are fan of Amsterdam’s East Area. Lots of hidden gems to discover when it comes to food and drinks. One of them – and by far our favourite – is called: ‘Vergulden Eenhoorn’. This one of a kind is (situated) just around the corner.
The idyllic and historical city farm has recently been transformed in one of the most – if not, the most – serene places of Amsterdam and can call itself a true hotspot by now. Besides a Burgundian restaurant (a previous cowshed), there’s a vibrant café as well. A spot to relax, enjoy local, fresh food, and taste a fine selection of wine, beer, juices and soda’s.
East is famous for its amount of green, and you’ll see what we mean by that when seeing its enormous picnic garden. What’s left to say? Channel into its cowshed, crave something sweet, something savoury or try the finger licking good lunch trio. Highly recommended for a Sunday afternoon brunch.
That being said, the countryside feel at the Vergulden Eenhoorn makes it one of the few and best hideaways in Amsterdam East.
