So… where to go?
Ok. It’s clear, Holland Festival has a lot to offer. What else to expect of a whole month of entertainment by the most creative ones of our planet? Besides big names such as Igor Stravinsky and Karlheinz Stockhausen, Robert Wilson and Fairouz, the Holland Festival offers a platform to the fresh faces as well. We did our research and listed you a few of the (at least what we believe) most exciting performances throughout the month. Choreographer and dancer Jose Luis Vidal from Chile, the artists from A Night in Indonesia, ballet artist Alain Platel and the opera scene of Octavia. Trepanation.
Besides a large number of shows, there are some interesting events worth a visit. The Holland Festival Proms where a mini festival takes place, the Manifesto film installation that shows a Cate Blanchett you never knew existed, the Shostakovich Trilogy which makes its ballet debut in Europe, and Opera in the park where you’ll enjoy the live performance of obviously an incredible opera. Take a blanket and get ready for an amusing picnic at Frankendael Park. Just around the corner of Hotel Casa!
