If there is one city in the world that sparkles during the festive season, it is Amsterdam. Streets are illuminated, hot chocolates are waiting for you to warm up, and raving ice skating rinks are spread through the city.
So where should you go?
- From 30 November until 21 January, the city is completely illuminated by the most beautiful, inspiring and arty light installations during the Amsterdam Light Festival. You either enjoy it by foot, or hop on a water cruise.
- From 20 to 30 December, Museumplein is turned upside down and transforms into an Ice Village. Christmas stalls, shops, music, gluhwein, you name it. The ice skating rink is already there, so show us what you got!
- From 21 December to 1 January, RAI Amsterdam hosts the biggest holiday festivity in town: De Amsterdamse Winterparade. For a true Christmas spirit, this is the environment to be. Ice skate under a blanket of lights, enjoy the Ferris wheel, or warm up at the Winter Wellness Salon. Christmas markets, marshmallows, a crackling fireplace, lots of Christmas trees and obviously some decent Christmas music. Best thing: the event takes place in- and outdoor. So even on the rainy days you’ll be fine!
Christmas dinners at East57
