10 UNIQUE STORES TO VISIT IN AMSTERDAM
We all know what Amsterdam is famous for: The rain. But fear not, as there’s plenty to do in our charming little city, even on the rainy days. Our beautiful Amsterdam has a variety of unique stores. Some of these aren’t just places to shop but also experiences in themselves, perfect for soaking up the atmosphere. For if you are staying at Hotel Casa, all of these stores are easy accessible by public transport.
Last but not least, as we Dutch people like to say: “You’re not made out of sugar, are you?” So grab your umbrella and explore these unique shops between the rain showers:)
1. THE NEW ORIGINALS
The New Originals is a streetwear brand known for its bold colours and designs. Located in the heart of the city, alongside other streetwear brands like Stüssy and Patta, TNO has become a well-known name on Zeedijk.
TNO’s motto is “Think outside the box,” which is reflected in its logo featuring dots. It’s kind of a puzzle where you have to connect nine dots with four straight lines – but the only way to solve it is by literally thinking outside the box.
With its striking and aesthetically pleasing interior, TNO adds to the vibrant atmosphere of this beautiful street, so it’s definitely worth a visit!
2. HOUSE OF RITUALS
The Rituals store on Spui is more than just a store, it’s an experience and adventure rolled into one. That’s why it serves as a flagship store, offering so much more than just its extensive range of products.
This store also provides special services like a body spa and the Mind Oasis, where you can meditate and unwind.
And if that’s not enough, it’s home to Restobar Rouhi, where Asian cuisine meets the House of Rituals. This store truly has it all and is absolutely worth booking an appointment or simply stopping by to explore.
3. LE LABO PARFUM
Tired of the same old, well-known perfume brands? Then Le Labo is the place for you. Originally from New York City, Le Labo now has locations all over the world, offering a unique perfumery with a stunning aesthetic. One of their manifestos is: “We believe that there are too many bottles of perfume and not enough soulful fragrances.”
They have a beautiful store in the 9 Straatjes, so if you’re looking for a fragrance for yourself, your partner, or as a gift, this store is definitely worth checking out!
4. STIEGLITZ
Stieglitz is a women’s fashion brand known for its vibrant colours and bold designs. Both the clothing and the store are inspired by the world travels of Pien Stieglitz, where she explored different cultures and brought these influences back to Amsterdam.
This store in the 9 Straatjes is more than just a clothing rack, it’s where fashion, dance, and music come together, reflected in every aspect of the shop. With its striking red interior and playful accents, this is a must-visit destination in Amsterdam.

6. SOLEBOX
Solebox is a well-known sneaker store, with locations in several other countries. While the brands sold across their stores are similar, this unique store in Amsterdam has a special interior. Inspired by a laboratory, this store gives you the feeling of watching a live experiment. From a digital screen displaying chemical reactions to jars and tubes filled with colourful liquids.
Amidst all these chemical reactions, you’ll find sneakers and clothing from popular streetwear brands. So, what are you waiting for?
7. BASKÈTS STORES
Baskèts is a blend of streetwear and luxurious minimalistic fashion. With locations in both De Pijp and Elandsgracht, this store is hard to miss. In addition to clothing and accessories, Baskèts also focuses heavily on trending sneakers.

With its spacious, open layout, you’ll immediately feel welcome, and there’s something for everyone to admire:)

Everyone loves music, and if you’re a fan of vinyls and record players, then Concerto is the place for you. This store is special, not just in Amsterdam but across the Netherlands.
