Registration
  • When is the best time to register?

It is recommended to register as soon as possible, as CASA has an average waiting period of two years. If you plan to stay at CASA when starting your studies, early registration (ideally before obtaining a high school diploma) is advised. Keep in mind that the maximum stay is two years from the arrival date.

  • Can students under 18 register for a room?

Yes, students can register before turning 18, as long as they are at least 18 years old when signing the short-stay agreement.

  • Are there priority rules for students with long commutes?

No, CASA follows a ‘first come, first served’ policy. The sooner the registration, the better the chances of securing a room.

  • Are we allowed to share one room between two people?

We know: our beds are big enough for two. Nevertheless, it is not permitted to share a room with two or more people. Obviously, guests are more than welcome to stay the night.

  • Is there a waiting list?

Yes there is. The expected waiting time is approximately 2 years.

    Regular room: €525 per month

    Midweek room: €400 per month

  • Is housing allowance available?

No, CASA does not offer rooms with private kitchens, which is a requirement for housing benefits.

  • What payment methods are accepted?

Payments can be made via iDeal, SofortBank, MasterCard, Maestro, Visa, American Express, or bank transfer.

  • What happens if a payment fails?

First, contact the bank as it could be an authorization issue or a transaction limit. If the problem persists, email students@hotelcasa.nl for assistance.

  • What is the notice period for leaving CASA?

CASA has a one-month notice period, calculated from the last day of the month.

    Example:

If cancellation occurs on January 29, rent is due until February.

Students leaving CASA for an internship abroad cannot return unless they rejoin the waiting list (if they have not exceeded the two-year stay limit).

  • Is there someone on my floor who helps connect me with other students and is availible to over support when needed?

On each floor, there are two or more Buddies who serve as a point of contact. These Buddies are also students, like you, who you can go to with any questions about life at CASA. They also manage the WhatsApp group for your floor, where students can coordinate things like who wants to grab a drink before a party or who is responsible for cleaning that week.

Twice a month, the Buddies meet with the Community Builders to discuss how life at CASA is going and to plan new activities.

  • Is there a space where I can relax and meet other students?

Want to play table tennis, shoot some pool, watch football, or simply enjoy a snack or drink with friends? You can do all of that in the student lounge.
