About the Ginger Margarita
A Ginger Margarita is a unique twist on the classic margarita cocktail. It combines the traditional elements of tequila, lime juice, and orange liqueur with the addition of ginger syrup. This syrup adds a spicy and refreshing kick to the drink. The cocktail is typically served over ice in a salt-rimmed glass, offering a perfect balance of sweet, sour, and spicy flavors. Garnishing with a lime wedge or ginger slice enhances its presentation and taste.
A quick cocktail recipe
This is a must-try cocktail and easy to prep at home. This is how you do it:
- Rim a margarita glass with salt, if desired, by rubbing the rim with a lime wedge and dipping it into salt.
- Fill the glass with ice cubes.
- In a shaker, combine 2 oz tequila, 1 oz lime juice, 1/2 oz triple sec or orange liqueur, and 3/4 oz ginger syrup.
- Shake well until chilled.
- Strain the mixture into the prepared glass over ice.
- Garnish with a lime wedge or ginger slice, if desired.
- Serve and enjoy your refreshing Ginger Margarita!
