AWAY FROM THE ORDINARY WITH ERICA
Let’s start with a fun dilemma: Either you shake cocktails all evening during Little Friday, or you serve the Bottomless Sunday Brunch each Sunday.
Erica: “Both options sound really exciting! I love welcoming guests, helping them feel at home at CASA, and making sure they have all the tips and information they need to enjoy their journey. But I have to say, I’m an early bird, so you’ll probably find me hosting the Bottomless Sunday Brunch rather than shaking cocktails! “
How do you experience your new role as Shift Leader in Restaurant East?
Erica: “I’m excited to step into the Shift Leader role, as it reflects the strong connections I’ve built with the team. Management has given me greater responsibility, which I welcome. Since starting here, I’ve consistently given my best and grown both personally and professionally. I feel confident taking on this new challenge. Clear communication with both the team and kitchen staff is essential, and understanding the people I work with is key for me.”

SOCIAL PIONEERS SINCE 1957
What do you find important in society that CASA has been involved in?
Erica: “CASA is dedicated to fostering inclusivity and diversity, creating a warm environment where everyone feels accepted and supported. During PRIDE, CASA hosted an initiative through an ART expo displaying paintings from local artists that focused on self-expression, belonging, and celebrating diverse identities. “
BRIGHT VIBES
How does CASA feel when you walk into the lobby through the revolving doors?
Erica: “From the moment I first stepped into CASA, I felt an immediate connection. There’s a vibrant, positive energy that you can see in the smiles of everyone around. The space is well-designed, with thoughtful details in the decor, colours, and books, making it a really welcoming place.”
What’s your favourite spot in the hotel?
Erica: “My favorite spots at CASA are where people come together. The lobby buzzes with conversations about trip planning or with people remote working, creating a vibrant energy. EAST restaurant offers a calm atmosphere during the day for work, while transforming into a lively space for parties in the evening. GAPP, the rooftop, is perfect for taking in stunning views and sharing special moments with friends.”

AWAY FROM THE ORDINARY
How does your job contribute to guests having a unique experience at Hotel Casa?
Erica: “Guests often tell me I have infinite energy. I love making people happy, spreading positivity, and ensuring they leave CASA with a smile. That’s my approach: To create a memorable experience for everyone that comes by.”
Thank you for your time Erica!
Erica: “No problem!”
