  • Is the hotel located close to the city centre?

    Hotel Casa is situated in Amsterdam-Oost, in close proximity to the city center, which starts approximately 1.5 kilometers from the hotel. You can easily reach the city center within 10 minutes by either bike or public transportation.

  • What is there to do around Hotel Casa?

    Hotel Casa is located in vibrant Amsterdam East, easily accessible by car, taxi, or public transport. The neighbourhood is packed with city parks, shopping spots, and great horeca—from bakeries to specialty coffee bars. Reaching the city center takes about 15 minutes by bike or public transport, where you’ll find even more dining, shopping, and must-see museums.   • Can the reception arrange a taxi?

    Yes! CASA has good experience with Travel Electric. The reception will be happy to help you book a taxi during your stay.

  • What are the travel options to Hotel Casa?

    Hotel Casa is conveniently accessible by taxi, car, public transportation, or bicycle. Check the transportation options on the CASA location page.

  • Where to buy public transport tickets?

    Metro and bus tickets are available at CASA's reception. Train tickets are unavailable on-site; however, you can easily obtain train tickets at your departure station.

Arrival & Departure
  • What are the check-in and check-out times?

    Your room is available from 3:00 PM. Depending on availability, early check-in may be possible if you arrive earlier. In the meantime, luggage can be safely stored at CASA's reception.

    Check-out is at 11:00 AM. Need a bit more time? You can extend your stay until 2:00 PM for €10 per hour, subject to availability. Contact the front office on the morning of your departure by dialing '9' from your room or ask the CASA front office team at reception.

  • Until what time is late check-out available?

    Standard check-out is at 11:00. A late check-out is possible until 2:00 PM for €10 per hour, based on availability. Please contact reception no later than the morning of your departure for this request.

    Late check-out is subject to room availability.

  • Is online check-in required?

    While online check-in is not obligatory, it is suggested for a much faster experience. It is quick and easy. You also have the option to complete online check-in upon your arrival at the hotel in the lobby.

  • Is parking available?

    Hotel Casa offers an underground private parking garage with a rate of €4.50 per hour and a maximum charge of €30.00 per 24 hours. The garage (maximum height 2.10m) has 94 standard parking spaces, including one for disabled guests. Additionally, there are 4 electric vehicle charging stations.

  • Is it possible to store luggage at reception?

    Absolutely! We offer a secure luggage storage area and are happy to keep an eye on your belongings. Please note that when you leave your luggage with us, it is at your own risk. We cannot accept responsibility for any theft or damage.

  • Is a room upgrade possible?

    Hotel Casa offers two room categories: standard and premium. Fancy a little extra comfort before your stay? Email reservations@hotelcasa.nl to request an upgrade, or ask the front desk upon arrival if any premium rooms are available. The standard upgrade fee is €25 per night.

  • What is the cancellation policy?

    If you booked directly with Hotel Casa, you may cancel your reservation within 24 hours of booking. After that, your ability to cancel depends on the rate you selected:

    • Non-Refundable Rate: This rate cannot be canceled without a charge after the first 24 hours.

    • Flexible Rate: You can cancel or modify your reservation 24 hours before the official check-in time (3:00 PM). Use the link in your confirmation email or contact  reservations@hotelcasa.nl.

    If you booked through another platform, please check their cancellation policy directly.

  • How can a room be booked?

    Booking is easy via the “BOOK” button on the homepage or room page. Questions? Email us at reservations@hotelcasa.nl.

  • What room types are available?

    Hotel Casa offers two room categories: Standard and Premium. Premium rooms offer added comfort, such as bathrobes and slippers, and the best views from the building.

    For one or two guests, choose between a Double room (one double bed) or a Twin room (two single beds). For three guests, there's the Triple Room, offered as a Standard or Premium room.

    Hotel Casa also has one Apartment, available from June through September, suitable for up to four guests.

  • Flexible vs. non-flexible rate?

    Hotel Casa offers two rate types:

    1. Non-Refundable Rate – This is the lowest price, but the reservation becomes non-refundable 24 hours after booking. It cannot be changed or canceled without a fee.

    2. Flexible Rate – This option offers more freedom. It allows cancellation or modification up to 24 hours before the official check-in time (15:00). Changes can be made via the link in your confirmation email or by contacting reservations@hotelcasa.nl.

  • What is the maximum number of guests per room?

    The maximum number of guests per room at CASA is three. For groups of four (or more), it is recommended that separate rooms be booked. To check the availability of connecting rooms on your preferred date, please get in touch with CASA’s reservations team at reservations@hotelcasa.nl.

  • Are there age restrictions on staying in the hotel?

    Everyone is welcome! However, guests under 18 need parental/guardian consent via email and a copy of a passport to complete the reservation.

  • Is there a gym or fitness option?

    Hotel Casa doesn’t have its own gym. If you want more information on the nearest gyms or yoga studios that meet your needs, the hotel reception will be happy to help you.

  • Are pets allowed at Hotel Casa?

    It’s important to note that pets are not permitted at Hotel Casa. This prohibition extends to all hotel areas, including restaurant EAST, rooftop GAPP, and the hotel rooms. Please be aware that a €100 fine will be imposed for policy violations.

  • Is photography allowed in the hotel?

    Taking photos for personal use is welcome, and CASA loves it if you tag Hotel Casa, Restaurant EAST, or Rooftop GAPP on social media! When creating content, please respect the privacy of other guests. For commercial photography, a request must be submitted via marketing@hotelcasa.nl. Rooftop GAPP is a great spot for professional shoots, and buy-out packages are available.

  • What is Housekeeping on Request?

    Hotel Casa prioritizes sustainability by providing a housekeeping on request service. There is no standard daily cleaning, except on the fourth day of each stay. If you wish to have your room cleaned earlier, kindly make your request by scanning the QR code found on the door hanger displayed in your room. Same-day cleaning requests are accepted until noon. For any questions, please visit reception or dial nine on the phone in your room.

  • Is bike rental available at the hotel?

    CASA loves to explore Amsterdam by bike. Bike rentals are €18.50 per day or €11 for 3 hours, subject to availability. Book at reception or online by filling out this link. Availability will be confirmed via email to finalize your reservation. Enjoy your city exploration!

  • Are there meeting facilities available?

    Hotel Casa offers 14 flexible meeting spaces for brainstorming, training, workshops, and small or big (multi-day) events. Learn more on the meeting page.

  • Smoking policy

    Hotel Casa is a smoke-free environment. Smoke detectors are installed in all rooms, and fines will be imposed for violations of our no-smoking policy. Fortunately, there are designated outdoor smoking areas in front of the hotel.

  • Are laundry and ironing facilities available?

    Yes, there is a laundry and ironing room located next to the lobby. Washing costs €3.60, and drying is €3.10 per load. A laundry pod is included with each wash and can be collected at the reception. Ironing boards and irons are available in the same room next to the lobby and can be used free of charge.

  • Is it possible to request an extra bed?

    Regrettably, due to fire safety regulations, the hotel is unable to provide additional beds in the rooms. If you plan to stay with three people in a room, booking one of the triple rooms is recommended.

  • Do the rooms have air conditioning?

    Because the Netherlands does not experience long periods of extreme heat, many buildings choose not to install environmentally polluting air conditioners. This also applies to Hotel Casa, so her rooms do not have air conditioning.

    The hotel building has an automatic climate control system that maintains the overall temperature and air quality. This system allows the temperature in the hotel room to be adjusted by about 2 degrees.

    The temperature controller has two settings: one for heating and one for cooling. To cool the room, slide the controller to the snowflake icon and turn the knob to blue. If you want to heat the room slightly, slide the controller to the heat waves icon and turn the knob to red.

    Is the room still too hot or too cold? Then, request an extra mobile fan or a heater at reception.

  • What facilities are supplied in the rooms?

    Each room is equipped with a hair dryer, kettle, coffee machine, wardrobe, TV desk, safe, and mini-bar that you can fill yourself. Naturally, there is fine bed linen, towels, and toiletry articles for your stay.

  • Are baby cots available?

    Yes, for children up to about 3 years old. Request a cot when booking.

Food & Drinks
  • Is it necessary to book breakfast in advance?

    If you’d like to enjoy the breakfast buffet, you have the option to pre-book it before your stay. However, if you haven’t decided yet, you can stop at reception or approach our breakfast host during your stay, and they’ll be happy to assist you.

    The buffet is €17.50 per person per day, with a discounted rate of €8.75 for children under 7 years old.

  • What are the breakfast hours?

    Weekdays: 7:00–10:00 AM
    Weekends: 7:00–11:00 AM

  • About Restaurant EAST

    Restaurant EAST is located on the ground floor of Hotel Casa and is a relaxed all-day spot for specialty coffee, brunch, lunch, dinner, and drinks. The menu features fresh seasonal dishes, perfect for a casual bite or a full meal.

    Monday to Sunday: 08:00 – 23:00
    The kitchen closes at 21:30

  • About Rooftop GAPP

    GAPP is Hotel Casa’s rooftop garden bar on the 8th floor, offering stunning views over Amsterdam. It’s the perfect place to relax with a craft beer or a fresh cocktail, accompanied by proper Amsterdam-style bar snacks. GAPP opens during the summer season and only when weather conditions allow.

    Opening hours:
    Monday to Sunday: 12:00 – 23:00

    Please note: Opening is weather-dependent. Ask the front desk for the latest update or follow GAPP on Instagram.

  • What’s included in the breakfast buffet?

    The generous breakfast buffet includes fresh croissants, (scrambled) eggs, bacon, pastries, pancakes, yogurt, granola, and fresh fruit. Vegan and vegetarian options are available. If you have allergies or dietary restrictions, please inform a CASA breakfast staff member.

  • Are dietary needs accommodated?

    Of course! Please inform the staff at the restaurant, rooftop terrace, or during breakfast about any allergies or dietary requirements. Restaurant EAST offers a variety of options, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dishes. The team will do their best to accommodate specific needs as much as possible.

  • Is there a 24/7 shop at Hotel Casa?

    Yes! Hotel Casa offers a self-service shop in collaboration with Wundermart, available 24/7.

    Here you'll find quick snacks like ice cream, chips, cookies, candy, as well as wines, beers, soft drinks, and water.

    Oops, forgot something? The shop also offers essentials like phone chargers, toothbrushes, and more.

    Products can be paid for directly at the self-checkout system, but please note that cash payments are not accepted.

Payments
  • What payment methods are accepted?

    We accept all internationally recognized credit cards. Additionally, you can make payments using a debit card or a cash card at the hotel. Please note that for security reasons, we do not accept cash payments.

  • How can an invoice be requested?

    Did you make a reservation directly through Hotel Casa? If so, you will receive an invoice upon checking out of the hotel. If you haven’t received an invoice, please email reservations@hotelcasa.nl with your reservation details, and they will assist you further.

    If you made a reservation through another organization, kindly request your invoice from them.

  • What is (the) tourist tax?

    If you stay in a hotel in Amsterdam and are not a city resident, you are required to pay a tourist tax. Currently, this tax is 12.5% of the room rate per night. Depending on the booking platform you use, this tax may be included in your reservation cost or needs to be paid separately at the reception upon check-in.

  • Why are credit card details required when booking?

    Credit card details are needed to guarantee your booking. In most cases, your card will be charged one day before your reservation, unless you have already made payment during the booking process.

  • Is Hotel Casa accessible for wheelchair users?

    Hotel Casa is wheelchair-friendly. There are elevators to all floors, and the meeting rooms are accessible for guests in wheelchairs. Feel free to reach out if you want to discuss specific requirements.

  • Does Hotel Casa have charging stations for electric cars?

    Hotel Casa's parking garage has charging stations available for electric vehicles. Charging is subject to availability.

  • Are events organized at the hotel?

    During summer (June 11 to September 24), join rooftop yoga every Wednesday from 08:30 to 09:30 at GAPP (€8.50 via Eventbrite).

    Every Thursday, raise a glass during Little Friday at Restaurant EAST with a weekly €5 specialty cocktail. And don't forget to check CASA's event calendar for art workshops, talks, and more.
