Arrival & Departure

From what time can I check in?

Your room will be ready starting from 3:00 PM. If you arrive at Hotel Casa earlier, we’ll explore the option of an early check-in based on room availability. Of course, you can also store your luggage with us until it’s time to check in.

Until what time can I check in?

You can check-in at any time in Hotel Casa. Our staff is here to help and assist you 24/7. 

Can I leave my luggage with you for a while before or after my stay?

Absolutely! We offer a secure luggage storage area and are happy to keep an eye on your belongings. Please note that when you leave your luggage with us, it is at your own risk. We cannot accept responsibility for any theft or damage.

I received an email that mentions I can check in online. Is that necessary?

While online check-in is not obligatory, we suggest it for a much faster check-in experience. You also have the option to complete online check-in upon your arrival at the hotel.

Until what time can I check out?

Our standard check-out time is 11h00. You can extend your stay until 13h00 PM for €10 per hour, subject to availability. Please request late check-out at the reception on the morning of your departure.

I want to stay longer in the room. Do you allow a late check-out?

If you’d like to stay in your room beyond the standard check-out time, you can extend your stay until 2:00 PM for an additional fee of €10 per hour. To request a late check-out, please contact our reception desk on the morning of your departure at the latest. Please be aware that late check-out is subject to room availability.”

How do I get to the hotel?

Hotel Casa is conveniently accessible by taxi, car, public transportation, or bicycle. For a comprehensive list of transportation options, please visit our dedicated page.

Can I park at the hotel?

Yes, we offer parking options in our underground garage as well as in the surrounding streets. In our parking garage, the rates are €4.00 per hour with a maximum of €27.50 for a 24-hour period.

Garage usage is not recommended for vehicles taller than 2.1 meters.

I need a taxi. Can you help me?

Yes! We have good experiences with Travel Electric. Our colleagues at reception will be happy to help you book a taxi during your stay.

Do you sell tickets for public transport?

We offer the option to purchase metro and bus tickets at our front desk for convenient city transportation. Please note that train tickets are not available for purchase on-site; however, you can easily obtain train tickets at your departure station.

Is the hotel located close to the city centre?

Hotel Casa is situated in Amsterdam-Oost, in close proximity to the city center, which starts approximately 1.5 kilometers from the hotel. You can easily reach the city center within 10 minutes by either bike or public transportation.

Eating & Drinking

Do I have to reserve the breakfast in advance, or can I do that during my stay?

If you’d like to enjoy the breakfast buffet, you have the option to pre-book it before your stay. However, if you haven’t decided yet, you can simply stop by the reception or approach our breakfast host during your stay, and they’ll be happy to assist you. The buffet is priced at €16.50 per person per day, with a discounted rate of €8.25 for children aged up to 7 years.

What are the opening hours for the breakfast?

Our breakfast service is available Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, and on weekends, from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

What does the breakfast have to offer?

Kick-start your day with an energizing breakfast! We offer eggs, bacon, delicious pastries and pancakes. Are you looking for a lighter and healthier option? No worries, we also have yogurt with muesli and fresh fruits. We assure for something to everyone’s liking, simply follow the smell of freshly baked croissants and bread to the buffet.

Do you have a restaurant?

Can the restaurant cater for allergies and special diets?

Yes, we are happy to cater for any diet requirements or allergies. Please inform our restaurant staff, and they will be happy to assist you.

When is the GAPP roof terrace open?

GAPP is closed outside of summer months. The excitement is already brewing for the reopening next spring. See you again in the beginning of April 2025. Until then, cheers gappies!

In the hotel

What does on request housekeeping mean?

Hotel Casa prioritizes sustainabiliy by providing an on request housekeeping service. There is no standard daily cleaning, except on the fourth day of each stay. If you wish to have your room cleaned earlier, kindly make your request by scanning the QR code found the door hanger displayed in your room. Same-day cleaning requests are accepted until 12:00 at noon. For any questions, please visit reception or dial 9 on the phone in your room.

Can I rent a bike from the hotel?

Bike rentals are €18.50 per day or €11 for 3 hours, subject to availability. You can rent a bike at our reception or pre-book by filling out this link. Our team will confirm bike availability via email, making your reservation official. Enjoy your city exploration!

Are pets allowed?

We share your affection for animals, but it’s important to note that pets are not permitted at Hotel Casa. This prohibition extends to all hotel areas, including the restaurant and guest rooms. Please be aware that a €100 fine will be imposed for any violations of this policy.

Are there age restrictions on staying in the hotel?

Hotel Casa extends a warm welcome to all! If you’re under 18, we simply require parental or guardian permission via email, along with a copy of their passport, to confirm your reservation.

Can I smoke in the hotel?

Hotel Casa is a smoke-free environment. Smoke detectors are installed in all rooms, and fines will be imposed for violations of our no-smoking policy. Fortunately, there are designated outdoor smoking areas in front of the hotel.

Does the hotel have conference facilities?

Hotel Casa has 14 conference rooms. Whether you want to organise a brainstorm or training session, workshop, or small or large multi-day conference, we are delighted to host your event. Want to find out more? Go to www.hotelcasa.nl/meetings.

Does the hotel have a gym?

Hotel Casa doesn’t have its own gym. If you would like more information on the nearest gym that meets your needs, hotel reception will be happy to help you.

Can I wash, dry and iron my clothes at CASA?

Yes, there is a laundry and ironing room located next to the lobby. Washing costs €3.60, and drying is €3.10 per load. A laundry pod is included with each wash and can be collected at the reception. Ironing boards and irons are available in the same room and can be used free of charge.

Reservations

How do I make a reservation?

That’s really easy. Scroll up this page and click ‘BOOK A ROOM’ at the top right-hand corner. Easy peasy! Just follow the instructions. Any more questions? E-mail us at reserveringen@hotelcasa.nl.

How do I cancel or change a reservation?

If you booked directly through Hotel Casa, you can cancel within 24 hours of making the reservation. After 24 hours, the ability to cancel depends on your rate type.

 

  • If you have a “NONREF” rate, it cannot be canceled without a charge after 24 hours.

  • If you have a “BAR” rate, you can cancel or change your reservation up to 24 hours before the official check-in time (which is 3:00 PM). You can do this via the link in your confirmation email or by contacting us at reservations@hotelcasa.nl.

 

If you didn’t book directly through Hotel Casa, please check the cancellation policy of the organization where you made your booking.”

What is the difference between a flexible and a non-flexible rate?

We have two different types of reservations:

  • Flexible rate: this means you can cancel or change your reservation up to 24 hours before your official check-in time.

  • Non-flexible rate: this reservation can only be made with a credit card. This way, the total amount is deducted from your credit card at the moment of reservation. You can request a date change up to 7 days before their original check-in date. Please note that if the new dates are more expensive, you will be required to pay the difference.

Can I make a reservation for 4 persons in one room?

Our maximum occupancy is 3 persons for a triple room. If you have a 4-person reservation, you can book two separate rooms. If they are available, we can also arrange for two adjoining rooms with a connecting door. Please reach out to our reservations department at reservations@hotelcasa.nl to explore this option.

Does the hotel have cots for babies?

Yes, we offer cots for children up to approximately 3 years old. If you need a cot, kindly inform us during the reservation process.

Payment

What is the tourist tax?

If you stay in a hotel in Amsterdam and are not a city resident, you are required to pay a tourist tax. Currently, this tax is 12.5% of the room rate per night. Depending on the booking platform you use, this tax may be included in your reservation cost or needs to be paid separately at the reception upon check-in.

I need an invoice. How do I get one?

Did you make a reservation directly through Hotel Casa? If so, you will receive an invoice upon checking out from the hotel. If you haven’t received an invoice, please send an email to reservations@hotelcasa.nl with your reservation details, and they will assist you further. If you made a reservation through another organization, kindly request your invoice from them.

Do I have to give out my credit card information?

Yes, for each booking, we require your credit card information as a guarantee. Normally, the credit card is charged one day before your reservation, unless you have already made payment during the booking process.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept all internationally recognized credit cards. Additionally, you can make payments using a debit card or a cash card at the hotel. Please note that for security reasons, we do not accept cash payments.

In the room

What are the extra bed options?

Regrettably, we are unable to provide additional beds in our rooms due to fire safety regulations. If you plan to stay with three people in a room, we recommend booking one of our triple rooms.

Are the rooms air-conditioned?

Because the Netherlands does not experience long periods of extreme heat, many buildings choose not to install environmentally polluting air conditioners. This also applies to Hotel Casa. Therefore, Hotel Casa’s rooms do not have air conditioning.

The hotel building is equipped with an automatic climate control system that maintains the overall temperature and air quality. Through this system, the temperature in the hotel room can be adjusted by about 2 degrees.

The temperature controller has 2 settings; one for heating and one for cooling. Slide the controller to the snowflake icon and turn the knob to blue to cool the room. Do you want to heat the room slightly? Then slide the controller to the heat waves icon and turn the knob to red.

Is it still really too hot or too cold in the room? Then fortunately we always have a number of mobile fans and heaters available. To do this, call our colleagues at reception by dialling ‘9’ from the landline in the room. They will be happy to bring these to you!

What facilities are supplied in the rooms?

Each room is equipped with a:

  • hair-dryer

  • coffee machine
  • wardrobe
  • TV
  • desk
  • safe
  • mini-bar that you can fill yourself

Naturally, we supply fine bedlinen, towels and toiletry articles for use during your stay.
