Free Art Workshop x By Frenchie
Empower yourself through art during pride
CASA is a place where empowerment and diversity are celebrated everyday. Let’s throw some extra festivities in the mix during Pride! Join us on Saturday July 27th or Thursday August 8th for a free art workshop. In this workshop led by Fransje Calf, you’ll create your artwork empowering your body. This is an open and free event, however we want to give priority to the queer community as this workshop is intended to fully embrace the diversity of our bodies and identities. No experience is needed for this workshop.
Who is Fransje Calf?
Fransje Calf, known as By Frenchie, is a 30-year-old Amsterdam-based artist who empowers women in her colourful and funky art. Calling herself a “color monster,” she uses pastels to create pieces that bring both happiness and calmness. Inspired by body shapes, Fransje’s playful and friendly depictions of nudity aim to help people love their bodies, seeing them as pure art. Her uniquely recognizable and soothing works celebrate the beauty and flow of the human body, embodying her feminist vision.
About the workshop
By Frenchie: “Through the workshops I share my empowering message and teach people to paint their own body on a canvas ‘the Frenchie way’. No experience needed! The goal of the workshop is embracing empowerment, connecting with your body and with you creative side, all while having fun! So, on 27/07 or 30/07 you’re welcome to paint along in an exclusive art workshop – including my tips and tricks.
To get the most empowerment and self confidence out of this workshop, please bring a photo of yourself to paint (on your phone). This photo is for your eyes only unless you want to share, please keep in mind we want to create a safe space.
