We like to cheers to the weekend on Thursday’s already! That’s why we spotlight one cocktail every Thursday for only € 5 on these Little Friday nights!

On Thursday April 13th it’s up to the Manhattan. You can just walk in to have a cocktail, without making a reservation.

About the Manhattan

A whole lot of flavours hide in this martini glass. The warm deep red colour of the Manhattan cocktail is the combination of red vermouth and rye whiskey. This type of whiskey contains at least 51% of rye and creates therefore a strong and slightly bitter character. The Manhattan  was believed to have been made especially for Winston Churchill’s mother in 1880 in the famous Manhattan Club.

Your quick cocktail recipe

This classic cocktail might look like a sweety, but is a real tough cool chick. Not for everyone, but for the adventurous cocktail-lover that wants to impress their guests. So are you ready to impress your friends?

Take a glass for stirring and add:
1. Rye Whiskey, Willems Wermoed and some angostura bitters.
2. Ice cubes

Stirr well and pore over in a fancy Martini glass. Decorate with a peel of orange, et voila!
