About the Tequila Sunrise:

The Tequila Sunrise is a vibrant and iconic cocktail that captures the essence of a picturesque sunrise in a glass. This classic drink is a blend of tequila, orange juice, and grenadine syrup.

The deep red hue settles at the bottom, gradually merging into the golden orange tones above, just like a sunrise over a tranquil horizon. Sipping on a Tequila Sunrise is not just enjoying a cocktail; it’s savoring a moment of artistry and flavor, a true toast to the beauty of both the drink and the world it mirrors.

How it’s made:

Here’s your quick recipe:

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.
  2. Pour in the tequila.
  3. Add the orange juice, leaving a little space at the top of the glass.
  4. Gently pour the grenadine syrup over the back of a spoon so that it slowly sinks to the bottom of the glass, creating the signature sunrise effect.
  5. Do not stir; let the colors settle and create their gradient.
  6. Garnish with an orange slice and a maraschino cherry if desired.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy responsibly!

Remember, the key to a beautiful Tequila Sunrise presentation is allowing the grenadine to settle naturally, so avoid stirring or shaking the drink once you’ve poured in the grenadine.
